The house was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed—exactly as pictured and even better in person. Every room was thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, making it ideal for a large family gathering.The private pool was a highlight—crystal clear, well maintained, and just steps away from the beach with breathtaking ocean views. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying morning coffee on the patio overlooking the water.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the open layout made it easy to cook, dine, and relax together. The host was wonderful—very responsive, accommodating, and made sure our check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free.The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach, close to restaurants, and perfect for watching sunsets. This home truly felt like a private luxury resort. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale beachfront getaway!

the best stay!
We look forward to staying here every summer with our children and grandchildren…14 of us in total. This was our seventh time here at Jewel in the Sand. The house is amazing and there is plenty of room for everyone. Terrific location. Great views of the beach and ocean, wonderful swimming pool, big and modern kitchen with everything you need, and has all the amenities. The people at Newman Dailey couldn’t be more responsive and pleasant to communicate with!

this is our second time staying at this house and it was even better the second time.
Every floor has amazing oceanfront views. I love that the house is situated on a private section of the beach with beach service. Fridge on the first floor made it easy to store drinks for the beach and pool. The beds are so comfortable. The staff at Newman Dailey were wonderful and easy to communicate with. I greatly appreciate everything they did to make it a special trip for us. Thank you!

We had 15 adults and 8 kids for Christmas and the home didn’t feel crowded, it gave us all enough space to have our own areas. We loved being on the beach and the location!

beautiful house
My family, along with friends stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect from start to finish! The location is perfect, 4 mins away from a grocery store and close to many main attractions. We are huge AC people, and had no problem staying cold during our stay. The beach area is awesome and right outside the back door. The complimentary beach chairs/umbrellas are a great bonus. We spent many hours in the pool and backyard. The only recommendations I can provide, would be to add more kitchen items to cook/prep with. Along with adding another umbrella outside by the pool area to cover the nice long table. If we return back to Destin, we will be staying here again!

great last minute getaway
We decided last minute to book this trip for Memorial Day weekend and I couldn't be happier with the selection of this home! It's located in a small quiet gated community but you are very close to many shops and restaurants. The home is well stocked with everything you would need to cook, dine and sleep!I The rooms are very spacious and the beds/bedding are comfortable. Each floor has a balcony looking out to the beach with comfortable outdoor furniture. We really enjoyed having a private pool that the kids could play and swim while grilling dinner each afternoon. Having direct private access to the beach made it very easy with multiple young kids. As you can imagine, it was a very busy holiday weekend but we did not have any troubles as the beach is private and only guest with a wristband can be in that area. The chair company had our chairs set up each morning and made is as stress free as possible.

Great spot and private! Close to everything but also in a gated community. Right on the beautiful beach with a great pool. We had a group of 24 and we had plenty of room. We never felt crowded or on top of one another. Plenty of places to sit and eat and relax. Having the 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas setup everyday on the beach was amazing! We made great memories in Destin and at Jewel in the Sand and can’t wait to come back!

We took our family to Destin for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this house. Having a elevator in the home was definitely a plus. Probably would have enjoyed more shade on the pool/deck area but that's minor

amazing home on the beach
Having the beach just steps away from your home was the best part, but having such an amazing home came in a close second. The home was extremely clean. The rooms were all a great size and having so many of them was perfect for us. The house is setup were the second floor is only used as a living space (kitchen, family room, dinning room, etc.). Having this type of setup was perfect. It allowed those that wanted to go to bed early or sleep late the chance to do that without hindering the rest of the group. If there was anything to say that we would have changed it would have been to have more cooking utensils and beach towels, but as you can read from above it did not hinder our stay. Overall things were great. We feel blessed to have had the chance to stay here.

great family stay
The Jewel in the Sand was the perfect choice for our family stay. The main floor had plenty of room for everyone, those who wanted to watch football and those who wanted to play family games. The two high-top tables are perfect for family meals and games. The tree living areas on three floors are great for separation. For those rainy days, the TVs in every room are extra large. The downstairs floor is great for kids, but not for adults (shared hall bathroom, no windows). The outdoor areas are plentiful with nice, heavy, furniture. And oh yeah, the beach is right out your back door.

perfect for family reunion
We have 4 children and 10 grandchildren and this house was perfect for our family. Views and layout were wonderful. House was clean and in near pristine condition--e.g. no wear and tear on furniture, walls, or appliances. With the great view, comfortable eating locations, amply supply of beverages, we chose to eat every meal at the house--why fight lines and traffic when you can relax and eat overlooking the beach? The kitchen was very well stocked in terms of utensils, pots, stainless, etc. Two ovens worked great. (I liked the blender so much I went out and bought one when when I got home!) The house is equipped with washer and dryer which got a lot of use in our case and, while the beach was used every day, the extensive use of the pool by the grandchildren surprised us.
Minor annoyances--1) plastic under bed sheets. We decided that this was a reasonable accommodation to guard against bed bugs. 2) no faucet outside dedicated to rinsing sandy feet. We used the outside shower which didn't do quite as good of a job to cleaning off feet. 3) ice maker produced about 2 trays worth of ice a day so one bag of ice was the order for every trip to the grocery. 4) Fourth floor AC unit is a bit undersized. We needed to cool the 3rd floor more than necessary to keep the 4th floor comfortable. 5) no pot holders. We used dish towels. 6) and we donated a new can opener.
The Newman-Dailey staff were very pleasant and efficient--check-in and check-out were painless. Overall, a spectacular vacation that we hope to repeat again.
