Hidden Dunes Cottage 228 is the gateway to sunshine and bliss on the shores of the Gulf, great games of tennis and pure and simple relaxation. Plus, Hidden Dunes is one of the few area resorts where the vacation rentals, pools and Rubico tennis courts are nestled among the ancient oaks and magnolias that northwest Florida is famous for. You can finally have some real peace and quiet.

This first-floor cottage is the perfect fit for a small family or a couple. The soothing ambiance of this Destin vacation rental is undeniable - whether you are watching a movie on the flat screen TV, entertaining guests in the kitchen or enjoying the Gulf breeze on the screened-in patio. However, so many adventures are waiting just outside the door! Take the Hidden Dunes tram to the beach, play a game of basketball or horseshoes then walk the nature trails past gazebos and fountains.

Hidden Dunes also enjoys an excellent location. Right outside its gates are the Silver Sands Premium Outlets, several award-winning Golf Courses and countless restaurants offering all your favorites.

Located in the sought-after Hidden Dunes Gulf and Racquet Resort, this community features a professional Tennis and Pickleball Center with 6 Rubico clay tennis courts and 3 hard-surface pickleball courts. The Rubico clay courts, maintained daily for top playing conditions, meet the highest standard for clay surfaces. Proper tennis attire is required, and guests are encouraged to call ahead to schedule a match, join a clinic, or book private lessons. Equipment rentals and session costs are available upon inquiry. Guests also enjoy dedicated deeded beach access exclusive to Hidden Dunes, making it the perfect destination for both relaxation and recreation.

1 PARKING SPACE PROVIDED!

Per Home Owner Association rules: Hidden Dunes does not allow trailers, RV's, motorcycles, boats/jet ski's or golf carts.

We may require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

the unit was top notch.

The proximity to the beach, availability of swimming pools, and the ability to rent beach umbrellas and chairs made this a fantastic place to stay for vacation. The beach is clean and absolutely beautiful. The property was perfect for our vacation. It was clean, near the beach, had plenty of utensils, dishes, etc and all of the appliances worked. We also enjoyed access to the grills and pool.Thank you.

i love how the property is well maintained

This is my fourth stay at Hidden Dunes over five years. The tennis pro and morning Skill/Drills and the private beach. I keep returning because the service delivered by the property management team is excellent and I know that if something goes wrong that it will be taken care of, thank you.

We rented property during COVID the unit was very clean with no contact check in and out. The kitchen has minimal dishes, but I think this is because they have to wash everything to rent it again during COVID. The bedroom is dark and good for sleeping. The beach is less than a ten minute walk. We liked not having to drive to the beach. They even have mounted hand sanitizer dispenser inside by the front door. The AC and refrigerator work great.

visit to see what hidden dunes has to offer

We stayed 2 nights to find out if this was a place we wanted to rent for at least 90 days during the winter. We found this did not meet our needs as there is not much to do unless you just want to sit at the beach or pool. They do offer tennis but, at this time, I'm not physically able to play. We stay each winter further south on the Gulf in a gated community offering endless things to do (tennis, pickleball, bocce, lawn bowling, tons of crafts like pottery, stained glass, woodworking, etc.). We now own our home in this community and are thinking of selling and are looking for a place to rent. Our community only allows you to rent for 3 years therefore we are looking for another community. I gave it a low score because we weren't impressed with our cottage and the lack of things to do.

great place!!

What a great vacation! The unit was very clean and comfortable. The beach was unbelievable and very easy to access. Will definitely be back. ONE COMPLAINT - THE POOL WAS VERY HOT. DON'T KNOW IF THE PUMPS WERE BROKEN OR WHAT, BUT IT WAS EXTREMELY WARM TO SWIM IN AFTER A LONG DAY ON THE BEACH.

cottage # 228

Our cottage was just great and had everything a person could possibly need. The place was very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were nice and the bed was excellent. It was easy enough to get to the beach area and the people there were very helpful setting up umbrellas and chairs for us. We would definitely return again and would request cottage #228 which felt very homey and just the perfect size for two people. The extra bathroom was such a plus! We thank everyone for such a wonderful stay in Florida that we'll never forget!

an excellent place to stay!!!

This was our first time visit to the emerald coast and we had no idea where to stay. After much internet surfing we kept looking at hidden dunes resort. We decided to make our reservation there and we were very much pleased with our selection. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. The bed very comfortable. The walk to the beach is a little long but my goodness, the walk is beautiful with the trees, flowers, water fountains along the way. This is a very peaceful, relaxing place to stay and when we decide to visit the gulf again we will definitely be looking at hidden dunes!

great place!!!

The condo was very nice with new appliances and the bed was very comfortable. The best part was the facility provides a trolley which brings you to the beach which is not far at all, you can even walk if you wanted to. We used the free parasailing for 1 adult and other benefits on the gift card that is provided when you check in. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in cottage 228, we did not to leave. We will definitely visit again.

We spent four nights in unit 228 and they were great the pool is a short walk away along with the grill. The staff was nice the unit was clean with new alpliances we had a great time and would definately come back.
