We were very happy with our stay at crystal beach! We loved the mini kitchenette so we could store our beach snacks and walk easily from the beach to our room for a lunch break. The beach was beautiful with powdery white sand and warm waves. We also loved having Camilles right there for a sushi dinner or an afternoon smoothie. This was a cute little spot and we hope to return someday!

We really enjoyed our stay!!! The spacious room and furnishings were beautiful. The room was very clean. The crown molding was very nice and I really liked the dressing room, those were both nice features. In all my life I have never had a hotel leave me something to eat, the sweet bread was delicious. The rafea tied around the sweet bread, toilet paper and shower curtain was such a nice touch. I was absolutely delighted with the room. The ladies working the office were so nice. It was a pleassure talking with them!!! Kelli made my reservation and I can't emphasize enough how nice she was to me!!!

a wonderful experience
We came down to Destin at the last minute with no reservations or plans. Passed by the Beachside Inn and thought it looked good. They had a roon available and it was great. It was very very clean, nice decor, comfortable beds, wi-fi, nice pool and hot tub (maybe too hot). Service we received by everyone was exceptional. We usually stay on the beach but this was a very convenient short walk across the street. There is a nice eatery at the front, a restaurant on top, and scooter rentals on site. We had a great trip.

My husband and I stayed at the Beachside Inn at the end of June !!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The saff is very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and comfortable, and the location couldnt have been in a better place for me and my husband. Upon arrival the staff at the Inn put a loaf of banana nut bread in our room, it was some of the best bread we have ever had!!! The next time that we visit Destin we will definitely be staying at the Beachside Inn!!!

Loved the room! Staff was friendly! Great public beach access! Loved, loved, loved Camille's Bakery in the morning! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Only negative is that on 2 different mornings, I believe it was Friday and Saturday, at 5:55 am and 5:30 am in the morning the garbage truck decides to empty the dumpster. We unfortunately were on the end by the dumpster, so needless to say we were awakened that early first by the backup warning beeps, followed by clang, boom, bang as they emptied the dumpster. We did mention to the front desk when we left, but they said they had requested a change in schedule, but the city won't do anything about it.
Still had a lovely stay though!

labor day weekend !
This was the 2nd time we have stayed at The Beachside Inn and just like the 1st time it was great and we are looking forward to our next visit. This place is great because it is pet friendly..great location..great coffee shop, clean rooms, but it is the staff that sets it apart from other places..Peggy and Kerby are awesome..They make you feel welcome and not just because it is their job. Both times we have went they have treated us like family. The ladies at the Cafe are super also..they have always made sure we are taken care of..and the food at the Cafe is always fresh and the place is always clean..not to mention across the street from the beach. In my opinion if you want a big high rise condo with a 10th floor balcony view of the water where the staff is different every morning then The Beachside Inn is not for you. If you want a great small private place in the heart of "old" Destin where the staff knows your name then give The Beachside Inn a shot I don't think you will disappointed. We are already looking forward to going back and seeing everyone !

Recently we stayed at the Beachside Inn. It was myself, my husband, our two teenage daughters and my labrador. The room was spacious enough for all of us to be comfortable. I like the pocket doors in the bathrooom area. My girls were able to get ready in privacy. Great location to the beach. The cafe was great and everyone was friendly. Also this area is very close to shopping/dining. There are sidewalks all around and perfect for morning and evening strolls. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

We have stayed here a few times and had mixed results at the Destin Beachside Inn. They are very pet friendly here and the tile floors are perfect for dealing with both pets and excess beach sand. It is a great location, less than a block from the beach. This most recent time, March 2012, was nice but the wi-fi is unreliable (and has been for the last 4 years), the room is pretty but could use some general maintenance. Our previous visit, March 2011, the rooms were somewhat dirty, the tub was dirty and there was sand in the beds. Also, the other guests were all there for a wedding and got very loud and drunk and partied very late into the night; then they got up early and continued to be loud and drunk the next day. The beds were older and uncomfortably soft. The staff is generally friendly and as helpful as possible. The cafe and restaurant staff are especially nice and the food is lovely but like the hotel a little pricey. I recommend this hotel for people with pets who aren't too fussy about having a quiet setting, internet access, ocean view or immaculate rooms. I will probably stay again, the next time I can afford it.

Energy efficient lighting wasn't bright enough in bathroom sink area. Also, I don't enjoy tile floors. I get it---it's the beach, but I would suggest at least 2 sisal runners on the floor along the backside of beds. This would cozy up the room considerably, and runners would be easy to shake out for the next guests. If runners are not in place next time, I'll bring my own runners. It's that important to me! Also, there is no one on staff in the evening/night, only someone on call for emergencies. If you don't like being on your own for that reason, book a stay at a motel that has 24/7 lobby access.

pleasant stay
We stayed for two nights and were very pleased with the room and the fact that we could include our two little dogs. The only thing we would change about the room would be more surface space to put things down on. We were glad to have the complimentary breakfast at Camille's nearby. We also ate there for lunch both days because it was so convenient. After we checked out we were notified that we had left behind three shirts. Thanks to the staff we were notified and the shirts were mailed to our home. We are very satisfied with our stay and would return on our next visit to Destin!

This was a Hotel not a rental home. The location was great! just cross the street and you are on the beach, and it allowed our pet for a modest fee. no carpet, so sand everywhere (yes, we tired to clean off our feet and other items before entering the room.) first floor and a space where the door should have been sealed, thus creatures of a various kinds. The location to the beach was great, with bothroom and showers before you crossed back over to the hotel.

it was perfect for my needs
This hotel was a midpoint stop on my long road trip from Texas to Fort Lauderdale. I was traveling with a cat, and you accommodated me.
I could have had a cheaper accommodation nearer to the interstate, but for only a modest bump up I got a charming room, a good restaurant, the sound of crashing waves, and sand between my toes.
Well worth it.
The cat liked it too.

I would say we had a great time at the location. My nine-year-old granddaughter had not seen the beach so we look her for the weekend. The motel itself was in a great location, the room was clean, and the fact they accepted my dachshund was great. Only defect was the room needs a broom kept in there to help keep the sand out, due to no carpet being in the room (which was a good thing.) Never understood why rooms had carpet at the beach with all that sand. I would definitely stay at the Beachside Inn again.

We stayed at the Beachside Inn across the street from, but mere steps to the beach. Perfect!! Service was superb. Both Donna & Eunice were kind, helpful and we are very appreciative. Room was nice and clean. Loved the pools, but wished the hot tub was a little more private. We would have used it but it was in front of the upstairs restaraunt. Since it is pet-friendly, we could bring the babies, and that made our stay so much more restful not to have to worry about them back home... and they LOVED IT TOO!! Wish the outside pet area was more protected, fenced in would be ideal! And i will ask for a full size coffee pot next time... because we will definitely stay there again!!! one of a kind
The beach side inn was all that we expected and more. Literally steps from the beach. Shopping was essentially was within walking distance. Food and coffee was just around the corner, or even right outside your hotel door. The area was quaint and quiet. The atmosphere was so New Orleans like! I am from new Orleans, and the ambiance was much like that of an Esplanade ave. bed and breakfast, except even better because the beautiful aqua marine colored waves were observable from the pool deck. To top it off, we were just elated that they invited our pets to join in on all the peace and serenity that was offered. The rooms were very nicely painted, and the beds were like heaven to sleep in. Donna and Eunice took customer service to a level that all businesses should strive towards. It was truly a magical place to get nestled into with your pets! We will most definitely be returning!

we brought our two puppies,we dont leave home with out them.we were perfectly content leaveing them.other people had their pups and we knew then ours would be ok when we spent our days on the beach all day.they had ceramic floors so the rooms were very clean and very nice to look at very nice decor and roomy rooms.camiles had very good food were from louisiana we eat gumbo all the time,and we ate camiles gumbo and sushi it was so good and the key lime pie was delish,we visit there again the room cleaners were so nice.and eunice the office worker was very nice all of these things made our trip great.thanks people.

The hotel was above our expectations for the price and one of the only pet-friendly hotels in the area. We brought our 3-month old Boxer, Maximus, and he had as much fun as we did! The hotel is a short walking distance to the beautiful and clean beach and many wonderful restaurants.. Probably the best restaurant we visited was actually on the property. We loved the property so much, we decided to stay an extra day, which the hotel was able to accomodate. We would definately reccomend this property to friends, family, or complete strangers for that matter and we will definately be back soon!

great business vacation
I was in Destin, Fl. on businesss and decided to take my wife and small dog with me. The property was great. My wife and dog enjoyed the stay even more than I did, since I did have to work. It sure was nice coming in after working all day and enjoying the beach and great restaurant on the property. I will be back in Destin in the spring and will stay here again.
