The Destin Beach Safety Lifeguards were named National Champions in Division B (100 employees or less) at the 2015 Nautica United States Lifesaving Association National Lifeguard Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida. A new amentity comes to Scenic 30A thanks to the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA). This month, SWARA deployed the first half of 58 artificial reef structures off of Grayton Beach State Park. This is the first of several snorkel and fishing reefs planned that will span across south Walton County.
