Today, that same unit is selling for about $315,000.  With vacation rentals in high demand, I am certain it would have been a money-maker. Do not second guess a purchase when the Realtor spouse recognizes the potential in a property.” 

3. Low interest rates

Though we have seen a rapid appreciation since 2019, interest rates have remained low. While rates hovered around 3 percent for much of 2021, economists are forecasting a possible increase in 2022, which could bring them closer to 3.5% before the end of next year according to the National Association of Realtors. While that’s still low by historical standards, the record setting days are likely behind us and we’ll begin to see a gradual climb over the coming years. For those who wish to finance their real estate investment, buying now and taking advantage of the extremely low interest rates is definitely more advantageous than waiting.
