She recent shared one her favorite places to dine—Dewey Destin’s Restaurant.

“Both locals and tourists alike flock to Dewey Destin's on the Harbor, or to their original location on the Bay-near Crab Island and the Destin Bridge.

It is truly a "hometown" restaurant. Dewey Destin's Great-Great Grandfather founded Destin in the 1800s, and Destin has grown from a "sleepy" fishing village to the wonderful city it is today.

I have been going to both locations for more than 10 years. When the harborside restaurant opened, we were thrilled to be able to watch the boats coming in with all the fresh fish.  You can dine in, or choose to eat on the porch overlooking the Destin Harbor.  The tradition has been to come for birthdays, when family is vacationing here, and whenever we want to give clients a taste of the "local catch".  Nothing at Dewey Destin’s is frozen and it shows in the taste.  My favorite is the grouper parmesan. It is amazing!

Be sure to try the key lime pie for dessert, and don't forget about the blackboard specials.  Our last trip was a blueberry cheesecake bread pudding, which I must say was delicious!”
