Buddy Goes Beachside Book Signing, New Children's Book, June 30

Destin provides a scenic setting that inspires songs, movies, novels, and most recently, a children’s book. Based upon Author Angel Kitts’ stay at the Beachside Inn in Crystal Beach, the new children’s book, Buddy Goes Beachside, is playful tale of a Destin beach vacation through the eyes of a Maltese pup. Beachside Inn and Camille’s Café will host Author Angel Kitts for a special appearance and booking signing on June 30 from 3-5 p.m.  Held in conjunction with Camille’s daily Happy Hour, which features live music and drink specials, the book signing is pet-friendly and kid-friendly, featuring cake and doggie treats.

"We love that Angel and her family had such a great experience in Destin and that her family’s stay inspired her to write a fun children’s book,” said Beachside Inn Innkeeper Kellie Hudson. “As a pet-friendly property, we enjoy meeting families and their puppy dogs. We think it’s great to have Buddy tell our story.” 

Author Angel Kitts has been visiting Beachside Inn in Destin since 2012, and was inspired to share her family’s recent beach adventure through the eyes of the furriest member of her family, Buddy. The book features Buddy along with his family (Lydia, Celeste, Angel, and Tim) who travel from Tennessee to Destin for their beach vacation. The story includes many iconic moments, including crossing the Mid-Bay Bridge, viewing the day’s catch at Destin Harbor and watching fireworks at HarborWalk Village, among many other Destin experiences.    

Books will be available for sale (cash/check) at the book signing and Author Angel Kitts will be available to personally sign each copy. Published by Archway Publishing, Buddy Goes Beachsideis also available locally at Barnes and Noble. A great gift or souvenir for families who want to reminisce about their experiences in Destin.
