My Beach Memories Photo Contest Winners 2020

We had so much fun seeing our guests’ memories that we launched our third My Beach Memories photo contest last fall. We’ve been accepting submissions of your favorite moments from your beach vacation from October 1, 2019 to July 31, 2020 and we finally have our winners!

Sharing in your special moments from baby's first steps and family traditions to sunsets and wedding proposals, our hearts have been warmed and our optimism renewed. We are reminded that South Walton and Destin’s beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. It the precious moments in this beautiful, natural setting with people we cherish that make life richer, happier, and more enjoyable.

Our first and second place winners earned the most points through their online votes and social shares. Our third-place winner was selected by the team at Newman-Dailey. Our staff pick was the result of reviewing the 132 entries and narrowing it down to our staff to vote on the one that was most representative of a Newman-Dailey vacation. Without further ado, here are our My Beach Memories Photo Contest Winners:    

1^st place: MICHELE S. (earning 3,723 points)

Michelle’s story: “In October, we were able to spend some time with our granddaughter on her first trip to Miramar Beach. Hope to start a tradition.”

We love Michelle’s submission because it represents the beginning of a new generation of family traditions.

 

2^nd place: Kellie O. (earning 1,942)

Kellie’s story: “This picture is from the 80's of myself and my late grandfather at the beach. He loved spending time with his grandkids. I am so grateful I had this time on the beach with him for many years.”

Kellie’s submission represents timeless traditions. We love this classic photo of Kellie and her grandfather instantly transports us to special memories of treasured family vacations at the beach.

 

3^rd place: Sarah (staff pick)

Sarah’s story: “Namast'ay at the Hidden Dunes for a relaxing beach vacation.”

It was a difficult decision for our staff, but Sarah earned the most staff votes due to the relaxing beach scene that is so indicative of a Newman-Dailey beach vacation. With so many of our guests staying at Hidden Dunes Beach & Tennis Resort, we also appreciated seeing this special memory from a location that holds great memories for so many of our guests and homeowners.
