The restaurant, which opened in Destin Commons in May, is comfortable, casual place to find Southern favorites, including Paula Deen’s Best Ever Southern Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Pork Chop, Ol’ Fashioned Southern Meatloaf and Chicken & Dumplings, among others.

 

Our Real Estate Sales Agent Carolyn DeFibo recently visited Paula Deen’s Kitchen in Destin and here’s a glance at her experience:  

 

“As you enter the gift store, which has anything from books to spices, jams, kitchen equipment, and more, you’ll be taken to the dining room for a family meal. You’ll be greeted with a friendly, smiling face to take your drink order followed by a delivery of garlic biscuits, which are divine. On the menu, you have your choice to order by either the Albany, or the Savannah-you and your party pick two proteins, and four sides. On our visit we chose the chicken with mushrooms, and pot roast with white rice. We were not disappointed at all. There are many sides to choose from and the squash casserole was one of the best!  The mac and cheese was also great.  The wait staff is very attentive and is constantly coming by to see if you need or want any more.  It is all you can eat. The desserts are Paula’s famous ooey gooey butter cake in vanilla or chocolate, banana pudding, or cobbler. They are all delicious. Our server was Jules and she went above and beyond to make us feel at home.  We give Paula Deen’s two (sticky) thumbs up.”
