2019 Memorial Day Events in Destin and South Walton

It is the official start of summer! Welcome to the beach! We are excited to welcome all our friends and extended family of Newman-Dailey guests back to the beach for summer vacations. For Memorial Day Weekend in and around Destin, there are a plenty of events and activities to keep you and your group entertained after the sun goes down. Here’s some of the highlights for 2019 Memorial Day Events along the Florida’s Emerald Coast: 

Destin Harbor / HarborWalk Village 

Saturday, May 25
7:30 - 10:15pm Heritage  
Heritage will perform live from the main stage at HarborWalk Village.  Heritage is a Florida panhandle band bringing a mixture of soulful roots reggae, rock, so-cal dub, and Hip Hop to the stage. Get ready to dance. Locally based, this band started with meager beginnings just playing here and there at backyards along the panhandle. Shortly after it transgressed into a growing fanbase, known at venues all along the Emerald Coast.

Sunday, May 26
7-9pm Andy Velo
Anday Velo will perform live at HarborWalk Village on Sunday followed by fireworks and fire spinning at 9 p.m. from Just Add Fire

HarborWalk Village features restaurants, activities and entertainment will please each and every taste on your next Destin family vacation. Saturday, May 25 - Forrest Williams Band

7-9 p.m. Village of Baytowne Wharf hosts Forrest Williams Band performing live from the events plaza stage

 

Sunday, May 26 - Coconut Radio

6-9 p.m. Village of Baytowne Wharf hosts Coconut Radio  Free children activities will be from 6-9pm and fireworks at 9pm.

Monday, May 27 - Memorial Day Ceremony
7 p.m. - Join the Sandestin Owners Association for a special Memorial Day ceremony.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf located at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort features more than 12 restaurants, 15 retail stores and several nightlife venues. It has become the gathering place for everyone visiting, living or working along the Emerald Coast.

Alys Beach on 30A - Sinfonia Goes Pop

7:30 p.m. - Enjoy an evening of your favorite patriotic, movie soundtracks and light classics as Sinfonia Gulf Coast performs a free concert in the Alys Beach amphitheater. The “doors” open at 6 p.m., and the music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Remember to bring blankets or low back chairs for comfortable seating.  Charlie’s Donut Truck and Dog Man Du Hot Dog Cart will be offering tasty treats!
