Insiders’ Guide to New and Recently Relocated Restaurants in Destin, Florida

Slick Lips Grouper2

Destin has always prided itself on its crystal white sandy beaches, emerald green waters, and a deliciously diverse variety of restaurants. As such, one of our most frequently asked questions by visitors to the area is “what new Destin restaurants should we try?” If you were wondering the same thing, we’ve gathered this list of the best new or recently relocated restaurants in Destin that you’ll want to try on your next South Walton or Destin vacation.

Slick Lips Seafood & Oyster House

Ready to celebrate the spirit of “Old Florida”? Head over to Slick Lips, located in Miramar Beach in the heart of the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin for some high quality seafood, including a pan seared grouper served over wild mushroom risotto, and of course, fresh oysters. It has a family fun atmosphere and they pride themselves on good customer service.

Tequila’s Sports Bar & Grill

Can’t decide between Mexican or casual American? Look no further than the Tequila’s, conveniently located at 11225 US HWY 98. They’re known for the Tequila Quesadilla, which includes shrimp, chicken, steak, and is jam packed with vegetables and cheese. For the perfect complement, try one of their house margaritas.

The Village Door in Seascape

Live music, fresh seafood, and a daiquiri bar are what the Village Door is all about. Now new and improved, The Village Door has left the Village of Baytowne Wharf and relocated to a new location at Seascape Resort. With happy hour every day from 2pm-6pm, The Village Door has a delicious new menu as well as dance party with live local entertainment most nights of the week. Be sure to try the TNT Shrimp Tacos, tossed in their TNT sauce and fresh lime. A local favorite! Address: 60 Seascape Drive, #101.

2 Birds Coffee and Café

Locally owned, 2 Birds is quickly becoming one of the most popular cafes in Miramar Beach. Along with their extensive list of coffee and espresso drinks, 2 Birds has a very refined and sophisticated menu, including a salmon toast with pickled onions, cucumbers, dill, capers and lemon zest. Stop in for a cup of coffee and stay for the company. Address: 80 Seascape Drive, # 10

Vintij Wine Boutique

Easily one of Miramar Beach’s most innovative and bold restaurants, Vintij Wine Boutique is evolving. The popular local restaurant has been in the same location for more than 20 years and is now relocating to a larger space at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. They will still have the perfectly curated wine list of boutique and small batch wines; as well as delicious fare while enjoying more space to spread out  and accommodate parties of all sizes. Address: 500 Grand Blvd #100k, Sandestin
