Author Mary Kay Andrews Returns to Destin to Launch The Beach House Cookbook

Beach vacations are the perfect time to lose yourself in an engaging beach read. And some of our favorite beach novels are written by New York Times Best-Selling Author Mary Kay Andrews. From "Summer Rental" to "Beach Town" to "The Weekenders," her beach reads entertain and delight readers of all ages. 

This month Mary Kay Andrews is launching her inaugural cookbook. Appropriately named, “The Beach House Cookbook,” the book is filled with recipes that are ideal for anyone staying in a beach vacation rental.  

From an early spring dinner of cherry balsamic-glazed lamb chops and bacon-kissed green beans, to Fourth of July buttermilk-brined fried chicken, yuppie potato salad, and Coca-Cola cake, to her New Year’s Day Open House menu of charcoal-grilled oysters, home-cured gravlax, grits n’ greens casserole, and Meyer lemon bar trifle, the cookbook is filled with ideas for menus designed to put the chef and his/her guests in a permanently carefree coastal state of mind.

Newman-Dailey is excited to welcome Mary Kay Andrews back to the beaches of Destin, Florida for a meet and greet and book signing at Barnes & Noble Bookstore on May 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.   As part of Mary Kay Andrews visit, Newman-Dailey Resort Properties will be hosting her at one of our favorite beach rental homes in Miramar Beachand will be providing fans a chance to win a beach bag with some of Mary Kay Andrews’ novels and a signed copy of her new “The Beach House Cookbook" on Newman-Dailey's Facebook page.
