Run or Walk in a 5K This Weekend

Looking for a fun activity for the weekend? Consider making your way to Destin and South Walton for a half marathon or 5K that will leave you feeling great for good cause! With great weather and great causes, it’s hard to sit at home when you could be at the beach. Here's two Northwest Florida races this weekend: 

2nd Annual LuLu’s Marlin 5K(Oct. 22). Register now for this fun, family race through Kelly Plantation. Pre-Registered Runners may pick up their packets the night before at LuLu's at the base of the Mid-Bay Bridge behind Legendary Marina from 3 pm-7 pm on Friday, October 21st. The shot gun start will be on Sat. at 8 a.m. Return to LuLu’s for the post-race party and festivities. Proceeds benefit Destin Middle School Athletics. 

30A Half Marathon & 5K (Oct. 23). Run on Sunday too! The first annual 30A Half Marathon and 5K will take runners down Scenic Highway 30A from Gulf Place to WaterColor Resort and back. The half marathon will take runners through the quaint beach towns of Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach and WaterColor. Packets may be picked up at Gulf Place on Sat., Oct. 22 from 10 to 6 p.m. Be sure to stop by the Newman-Dailey booth for a chance to win a vacation stay. The half marathon will start at 7 a.m. on Oct. 23 and the 5K will start at 7:25 a.m. All racers are invited for the post-race party at Gulf Place. Proceeds benefit the Sonder Project.
