Fourth of July in South Walton

The beaches of South Walton are the perfect place to be for the Fourth of July. With 4th of July celebrations taking place in beach neighborhoods up and down the coast, it is easy to feel patriotic and celebrate our nation’s independence. Here’s a quick round up of 4th of July celebrations and fireworks displays: 

On July 3, Easy on 30A will be held from 5:45 pm to 10 pm at WaterColor’s Marina Park. The event features live musical performances by Forrest Williams Band, The Rips and Geoff McBride. The event includes a raffle and silent auction benefitting Alaqua Animal Refuge, the Lighthouse Family Retreat, and the Muscogee Nation of Florida. Admission is a can of non-perishable food. Bring a blanket or chairs for seating, coolers and picnics are welcome. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

July 4 30A Parade: Gulf carts, trucks, boats on trailers and more will line up for the annual parade down Hwy 30A from Seagrove Beach to the town of Seaside. Parade begins at 9 a.m.

Red, White & Baytowne– The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin will feature an evening of family fun from 6-10 p.m. Kids activities include kids' crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting. Live music will be performed from the event stage and the sky over the lagoon will light up with Fireworks at 9:15 pm. Admission is free.

4th of July Dinner Cruise– SunQuest Cruise will host their annual 4th of July dinner and dance cruise aboard the Solaris. Guests will enjoy a sunset cruise through the Bay, 3-course dinner, live music and dancing and firework viewing on the upper deck at 9 p.m. Call 850-650-2519 for reservations.

Americana Under the Stars– Topsail Hill Preserve State Park will present original Americana music, including folk, jazz, and blues. Featured musician Tom Kimmel will perform at the outdoor amphitheater. Parking fee is waived courtesy of Visit South Walton.

Symphony under the Stars– Pensacola Symphony Orchestra will perform in the Seaside Amphitheater starting at 7 p.m. and conclude with a fireworks finale after dark.

Fourth of July Concert– Alys Beach will celebrate the 4th of July with a live performance by Compozitionz starting at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks after dark.
