Lucy & Jimmy Buffet Found Paradise in Destin

We love that Destin is a favorite beach hideaway for Jimmy Buffet and his sister, Lucy. One of their popular vacation spots growing up, Jimmy Buffet opened Margaritaville last year in Harborwalk Village, creating a centerpiece for the Destin Harbor and a popular spot for Parrotheads, vacationers and locals alike. Now, Jimmy’s sister, Lucy, has her sights set on Destin, and broke ground on her new restaurant, Lulu’s Destin, earlier this year.

Her original location in Gulf Shores, Alabama is wildly popular,  serving over half a million customers a year from four unique menus.

Since Lucy Buffett and her family have enjoyed many Destin vacations, the Emerald Coast was an easy decision for Lulu’s second location. Lulu’s Destin will include the Bama Breeze Bar, the Sunset Grill for bar bites from the big kitchen, the Fountain of Youth for the kids, the Mountain of Youth which is a three-story rope and climbing apparatus, a large sand beach area, as well as live music every night throughout the week.  

The main restaurant referred to as the “Mother Ship” by Lucy Buffett will include the main menu featuring Big Ole Salads, seafood baskets, and grass-fed beef burgers. Lulu’s also offers an allergy-friendly menu with plenty of options.

Lulu’s Destin will open early summer of 2015. Lucy Buffet, creative chef, business woman, author, and storyteller is determined to bring the same successful food and entertainment destination to all Destin vacation seekers and locals. Guests can take a piece of Lulu’s home with branded merchandise, cookbooks, Bloody Mary Mix, seasonings, sauces, a children’s book, and the newly launched ‘Crazy Sista' Honey Ale Beer.
