Celebrating Fourth of July at the beach in Destin, Florida is a beloved famly tradition for many. Days filled with fun, sun and laugher, splashing in the surf and building sandcastles on shore are complemented by breezy nights with fresh gulf coast cuisine and music under the stars.

For the 4th of July holiday, families are invited to attend one of the many patriotic celebrations held along the Emerald Coast. Here’s an updated list of the 2014 fireworks displays in Destin:  

City of Destin - The City of Destin will host a fireworks show at 9 a.m. over the water at the East Pass near the Destin Harbor. Tune in to 96.5 FM for patriotic music. (9 p.m.)  

HarborWalk Village– Each year, HarborWalk Villlage hosts a Fourth of July Extravaganza on the Destin Harbor. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with live entertainment, free kids’ crafts, face painting and a WWII replica flyover. At 9 p.m., an awe-inspiring fireworks display will light up the night sky and reflect off the shimmering waters of the Destin Harbor.  
 
Red, White & BaytowneThe Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin will host the Red, White and Baytowne celebration from 6-9 p.m. The Village will host kids’ activities, including kids’ crafts, face painting and balloon sculpting complemented by live music for all ages. Fireworks shoot off at 9:15 p.m. over the lagoon.  
 
Solaris Fireworks & Dinner Cruise– Looking for a more intimate celebration? Set sail on the Choctawhatchee Bay for a dinner cruise aboard the Solaris yacht. The evening includes dining and dancing under the stars as well as the best seat in the house for the Sandestin fireworks show.
