Fun, Sun, Sand & Music in Destin

There’s nothing more fun than a day at the beach…Unless it's a day at the beach followed by live music in a scenic outdoor setting. Luckily, the Emerald Coast is filled with talented musicians and bands that share their talents with music loving visitors and locals alike. Here’s some of the live music in Destin and South Walton scheduled for June.  
 
Santa Rosa Beach: Every Sunday from 6-10 p.m., the Green at Gulf Place is the place to be. Each week there is a free outdoor concert in this scenic beachside setting. Go early to spend time shopping and dining before the show. www.gulfplacefl.com

Sandestin: Elephant Walk at Sandestin will host a 10-week summer concert series that is a crowd pleaser for the whole family. Every Thursday evening at 6 p.m., there will be a beach bonfire, live music, children's activities, bounce houses, face painting, balloon sculpting, a photo booth, smores, a firework finale and more! Destin: Also on Thursdays, the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts Concerts in the Village at the Cultural Arts Village in Destin (just east of Walmart). The concerts feature local and regional bands, performing a variety of genres, ranging from pop to classic rock to jazz and blues and everything in between.  
June 5- Lisa & The E-Lusion (Motown, Rock & Roll, 80’s Dance Music) 
June 12- LavaLamp (Best of the 70’s disco, soul & funk) 
 June 19- Alter Eagles (A Tribute to the Eagles)
June 26- Twelve Against Nature (Nashville’s Steely Dan Experience)

Destin: Also in Destin, on Saturday evenings from 6-9 p.m., HarborWalk Village on the Destin Harbor presents Rock the Docks. This free outdoor concert series features a diverse line-up of bands in a relaxed coastal setting overlooking the harbor. www.emeraldgrande.com/event.aspx
