What's New in Destin, FL

The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park- If you haven't been to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in a while, now is a great time to visit. The Gulfarium underwent a $1.3 million renovation last year and improvements continue, including a new covering for the animal habitat. Other improvements include changes to the dolphin habitats in preparation for some impending births. Yes, that's right two Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins are expecting calves in the spring of 2014! Delilah, 39, and Lily, 10, are expecting babies. It's a great time to visit the park and these awesome moms-to-be.  

HarborWalk Adventures Zipline- HarborWalk Village launched a new attraction this summer, Adventures Zipline in Destin.  Riders safely glide over 1,000 feet on a round trip between two 80-foot steel towers, overlooking the pristine Destin Harbor. This duel person zip line allows riders to zip and share the experience together.  High above the harbor riders can digitally record and/or photograph the zip line experience to share the beauty of the Emerald Coast and this fun adventure with family and friends.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Restaurant  - Opening late 2013, the Buffett-themed chain will open a Margaritaville restaurant in Destin. Parrotheads will rejoice in Margaritaville's newest location at Destin's HarborWalk Village, featuring great music along with  Margaritaville’s signature, island-inspired menu, complemented by scenic views of the Destin Harbor.  

Fudpucker's Bar & Grill- Fudpucker's Bar & Grill opened a second location this year on Okaloosa Island. The new location at the former Daddy’s Money bar on U.S. Highway 98 has opened to great reviews. While the gator island may be smaller, the atmosphere and menu is equally as festive and delicious as Fudpucker's Destin location.
