Beer at the Beach - A Destin Tradition

Like many of our guests, we enjoy a cold brew on the beach. And one of our favorite annual October events in Destin, Fla. allows us to sample specialty beers from around the world in one beautiful coastal setting. The fifth Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest is returning to Sandestin, October 19 & 20, 2012.

From 2-6 pm on Saturday, the main event will feature more than 200 domestic and international craft beers available for sampling.Brewery representatives will be pouring different types of lagers, pilsners, stouts, and ales. Live music will be featured throughout the weekend. Event prices vary per event with Saturday's Grand Tasting priced at $25/person now through Oct. 19.

For those who are visiting the beach this weekend, our friend, Chan Cox of Chan's Wine World, is hosting his annual Destin Beer Festival at Destin Wine World. On Sat., Oct. 13, Chan and his team will be pouring some of the best high-end craft and micro-brews. If you like beer, you'll be happy here. VIP event begins at 1 p.m. and main tasting is from 2-5 p.m. Festival is priced at $50/person VIP, $40/person at the gate and $35/person in advance.
