October Kicks off Festival Season in Destin

October is the kick off to the fall festival season in Destin. To start the season, the first weekend in October is full of some of the locals’ favorite festivals. Festivals celebrating craft beer, Bloody Marys and seafood fill the weekend calendar. Idyll Hounds Brewery in Santa Rosa Beach hosts Houndfest, The Market Shops at Sandestin host the Bloody Mary Festival, and the Destin Harbor is home to the famous Destin Seafood Festival. Bloody Mary Festival

The Market Shops will hold The 3rd Annual Bloody Mary Festival on October 7, 2017 from 11 AM to 2 PM. It’s the perfect time of day to taste test all the locals’ favorite twists on the Bloody Mary. Live music, bubbly bar, and local eats all included in ticket price of $40 advance, and $50 at the door. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Walton County.

Houndfest

On October 7, 2017, Idyll Hounds Brewery will be celebrating two years of pouring delicious brews and three years of brewing. They will be unveiling two new beers that have been aging in various barrels. Destin Seafood Festival

Hosted along the Destin Harbor, the 39th Annual Destin Seafood Festival begins October 6th at 4 PM and will continue until October 8th at 4 PM. It is free and open to the public. There will be lots of local flavor sprinkled across the Harbor, including delicious fresh fish from local restaurants including AJ's, Brotula's Seafood House & Steamer and Dewey Destin’s to name a few. There will also be live music by local bands on the Harborwalk Village stages, including rock, reggae, and country. The 39th Annual Destin Seafood Festival.
