We happen to think Destin is one of the premier places in the U.S. if not the world. There is one that presses very
close for us, Bar Harbor, me, but Destin is the return to
place every year.
Great 1st Floor Location & Beautiful Kitchen

This is the 6th time we've stayed at Jade East but the first time staying on the 1st floor. Even though it was the 1st floor, being that the condo is built up, we still had an incredible view of the beach and Gulf as well as the beautiful pool.
The condo was very spacious and the balcony was very spacious -- in fact larger than any of the others we have stayed at previously.
As always, Newman-Dailey took care of us in every respect and we will continue to come back to Jade East whenever possible.
So pleasantly surprised how nice 140 was!

I am quite hard to please when it comes to hotel rooms and vacation rentals, so my husband was happy when we walked into 140 and I said, "I love it". It was our first time to stay there. We both were very happy with everything in the condo and all the things they provided for our use. It was decorated very tastefully, and the beds were comfy. The location of this condo was perfect for us. We liked being on the first floor since our grandchildren were there too and they could go in and out easily. Our children and their families rented two other condos in Jade East Towers at the same time, and they loved our condo the best. We all especially appreciated the security protection that kept the place quiet at night and the fact they chained the pool closed in late evening. We would recommend Jade East to future vacationers. The only thing I would say that could improve 140 would be a new couch. It is very old and worn out. Otherwise, we enjoyed our 10 days staying there. The pool and beach being so close were very handy, and we liked the beach cabana guy who was good to us...I'm sorry but I think his name was Byron/Brandon/Brian?? He said it once and I didn't want to ask him again. We were pleased with dealing with Jessica during the year when we made reservations and had to call her with some questions. She was friendly when we arrived and did her job satisfactorily. We hope to come back next year.
Needs new furniture

The kitchen in this condo was very nice and remodeled. It had stainless steal
appliances and granite countertops. However, the sofa in the living room was
awful. The cushions would slide out every time someone sat down. The
carpet was dirty. The air conditioner in the unit did not work properly. It
would get very hot throughout the day and about 3 am it would finally cool
down. On our very first night we encounter two large roaches. And
discovered that the garbage area was right next to our unit. I would advise
the owners of this condo to make some drastic changes if they would like
anyone to stay at their condo. We enjoyed the complex at Jade East because it
was very close to the beach and they had friendly service.

This was our 12th November in Destin and our
4th with Newman Daily, the 3rd at Jade East.
I have to admit the attraction is "anywhere"
on the beach in Destin. However, our stay at
Jade has been most enjoyable. We are properly
welcomed and taken care of for our time there.
It will be our privelege to return to Jade for as long as we can do so.
This year did provide an interesting four days, but even so it was a great place to
"recover". In the middle of our stay I had an
emergency appendectomy and was somewhat incapcitated for four days. I make mention of
this mainly to let you know not to doubt the
medical care available in Destin and Ft. Walton. They took excellent care of me.
Now, I can hardly wait to see what next year
brings.
